April 27, 2009

Summit Bank announces the appointment of J. Andrew Moore to its board of directors. He is co-president of MLF Group, LLC (Pepsi-Cola Eugene, Coos Bay & Newport and Northwest Vending Company) and president of Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Bend.
“Our board is comprised of highly successful business people who are active in the community and feel passionately about our commitment to combine exceptional service with sophisticated banking products,” said Gretchen N. Pierce, chair of the Board. ”Andy brings strong business skills and an understanding of customer service that will add to the expertise of other board members and to the further success of the bank.”
Moore, a native Oregonian, graduated from Santa Clara University in 1990, and he worked on the legislative staff of Oregon Congressman Bob Smith in Washington DC before returning to Oregon. Active in the community, he currently serves as president of the Oregon Soft Drink Association and on the boards of the Lane Community College Foundation, Pepsi-Cola Bottlers Association, Cascade Health Solutions, Willamette Valley Council of the Oregon Community Foundation and the Oregon Track Club.
“Andy joins us at a very important time in history for financial institutions. Corporate governance and board involvement are becoming more and more critical for success in banking,” said Ann Marie Mehlum, president and CEO of the bank. “I am excited about the additional value Andy will bring to our already strong Board of Directors.”
